I’m loving Cicada who I discovered while browsing the itunes store and became attracted to the current CD Roulette cover art which I feel maintains the breezy summer feel of the tracks on the CD.

I don’t really know much about the group but for me they are an antidote to Lady GAGA (boring and fake) and the very poor first release by Little Boots called New in Town ( it grates on my nerves).

They have a Goldfrapp/Air feel to their sound but they have taken more of a direction towards the dance area and are a little less arty and all the best because of this!.

“Love dont come easy” is a sure fire hit if it gets released as a single,catchy as a fungal infection and would burn the floor with a soul seekerz mix.

The first release from the CD is Metropolis which is not as immediately catchy but after a few listens you will find it repeating in your brain.

A track which is smooth as  silk and emotionally charged is “Tears”, it conjures up images of warm sands and blue skies with sun tanned men in trunks playing “naughty” in the sea.

I would highly recommend that you buy “Roulette” and their first CD “Cicada” to add to your summer playlist and give that boring sunbathing a kick up the ass!!
