As ever the fashion faggots Dsquared have produced another interesting collection focusing on uber styling (their forte) and body accentuation!. The collection based on the great outdoors and drawing from their own vivid memories as boys going off to summer camp, consists of gilets, shorts, fisherman’s hats and strangely enough wellingtons!!.?.
There is not a great change from previous collections ,this is an extension on the subject of maleness and the presentation of sexuality to society. Where Dean and Dan succeed is in the details of the styling, the positioning of items on the body and use of colour.
But I can not help thinking that individually these items lose meaning and without the styling dsquared bring to the show, the fisherman’s hat remains just a fisherman’s hat!.
Also im sure that any self-respecting homosexual would be able to use high street brands like topman and Asos and style in the same manner that dsquared are able to do!.
Use what god gave you queer boys, use it!!!

Sorry I’mj a complete stranger so I hope ya dont find me to terribly strange. Umm…I’m haunting your blog for the next couple of days, just so you know.
I’m in ur blogs, readin’ ur posts. LOL
I wonder something and I assume that your use of the moniker “Homolicker” indicates that you’re okay with certain words. Or is it only when they’re used by you and not “to” you? On that, sorry if my comments offend. Just tell me if they do and I’ll modify my commentary
I look at the clothing those guys are wearing and wonder, is it absolutely intentional for that fashion line to SCREAM out “I’m gay” in such a… how do you say…. “faggoty way” (sorry, this is what I meant earlier about terminology – and I dont mean that in a deragatory way, just a…not only am I out of the closet but I’m screaming it from the rooftops kind of way) because some gay men, you’d never know they were and they’re out but… those fashion statements are really making that statement, quite loudly in fact, hence my use of the word “scream”. So my question is this, is it intentional?

I not easily get offended and have a very thick skin so please feel free to “express yourself” as Madonna tells us!!. Dsquared are two gay designers and their clothes are not solely directed toward gay people although the fact that the designers are gay and have gay sensibilities there is bound to be homosexual bent to the clothing line!.
I dont know about in the States but in the UK and Europe the line between Gay and straight has been blurred and particularly in the fashion area men can feel free to dress how they like and dsquared direct their lines towards metrosexual (hate that word) men!.
I dont get your point about “screaming homosexual” to me all just fashion!…I think your view is not because of your age (although im older than you) but more of a geographical opinion!.
I noticed something else about that video, I swear all those guys could be theeee saaaame guuuyyy. They all have the sucked in cheeks and finely chiseled jaws and chin going on.
I also have to say, and maybe it’s because I’m a 40 year old mother of nearly grown boys, I find it a wee bit disturbing that they all have characteristics in common, aside from those finely chiseled chins, of little boys, even the one with a silly bandaid on his knee as if he fell down and skinned it. There wasn’t anything remotely rugged about his “presense” however the hell ya spell that word. I might like to blog about this topic on my blog. Not the disturbing thing I found in my opine but just in general. About the differences in perceptions we all have.
I think to f*cking much! haha
In fashion and in the gay world things can be homogenised the models are handsome males and represent a certain male, some are skinny and some are muscly all have beautiful skin and some have big lips… to me although they are all good looking men and they are ultimately individuals!
The same can be said about female models for that matter!!!.

Are you in the UK? I’m in Florida, Not so much the Good ole’ US of A. Not so good anymore anyway.
I have a friend of mine who, although he’s lived here for 18 years, was raised in England. It’s always interesting to talk with him about the difference in cultures. He said the other day that from me, he’s learned loads about American women and that we’re dramatically different across the pond.
It’s interesting I guess, after having read your responses, to note the difference with regard to gay men as well. I guess it’s just something I hadn’t thought of.
See, here I go getting ideas for yet more blogs! Thanks!
I never liked the word “metrosexual” either. What does that mean anyway? I kind of take it to mean “somewhere in between”. Like guys who get manicures and partake in what historically/perceptually has been thought of as distinctly “female” with the exception of the fond appreciation of men and their “down there” goodies! Manicures, make up, stuff like that. What does it mean to you?
Yes home is the UK!!… Chester the roman city!!, There seems to be a big difference between USA and UK regarding attitudes towards gay men, here people don’t really care anymore whether you are gay so there is less stress, straight guys can dress more homosexual and gay guys more straight
and I think gays dress more ‘normal” in the USA and have less interest in fashion anyway!(includes straight guys also).
Metrosexual…hmmm a straight guy who isn’t afraid to use female/gay lifestyle accessories!,… so yes!! the same perception as you there on the subject!.
