I just had to press delete on my iphone today to trash the grindr app which I had used for about a month, I downloaded it initially really just to chat and see what all the fuss was all about but the process of instigating a conversation which to many was an alien concept became tedious within a week!.
Never have I come across so many emotional and intellectual retards in all my life!,communication was a swear word to many and most only requesting cock or ass shots! (YAWN) .
Along with gaydar and manhunt, grindr is a soul-destroying experience and certainly never to be repeated.

LOL your post came up in blog surfer or something. I can’t really remember where I was.
I just have to say…. what did you expect with an app name like “Grindr”. I would feel safe to assume it’s a bunch of guys who mainly interested in said activity. Grind. Did you expect something more from Grinr than men who want to grind ya?
No disrespect intended but… come on now.
Thanks Deena for reading my blog and taking the time to comment,
I am not naive and assumed that the guys were after just a quick fumble but I did expect these guy to be able to string a sentence together.
It was the inability to communicate that got me!, I knew I would never find a “life partner” (hate that word) but a guy to chat with for 30 mins is not asking too much!.
Um, yes. This is true. Regardless of where somebody is, they should at least be able to do as ya said “string a sentence together”. Sadly, I’ve met people in person who are like that. Not in any dating/playing capacity tho. It becomes apparent after a bit that they’re just really undeducated.
Us bloggers arent the standard by which all other written communication is judged but sometimes I think it should be.
Take care!!

Lets be honest, what did you expect, it’s a gay cruising app, for cruising gays. It makes no bones about that is what it is for and what it’s members are after.
Like I said I expected more than a one word answer to my questions!! That’s the point I was trying to make in my blog I am not naive and did know what grindr was before down loading the app!.
I’ve used Grindr for a short period of time, I’ve even blogged about it, have to say it’s a big pile of doggy do. Rather the apps fine, it’s the men on it, they are just time wasters, with problems communicating!
It is a I enjoy the various articles which have been written, and especially the comments posted! I will come back!
OMG Homolicker, you’ve never been cruising the park obviously. The last thing I want when I’m horny is some would be intellectual’s yadda yadda yadda when all I want is an arse and dick. Grindr is there for sex sex sex and I love it. Try the local library, lesbian, trans-gender and gay section if you want “aural”
lol ok ok ok!!! Power Bottom I get what you are saying and understand why Grindr is such a popular app and yes i’ve never been to a cruising park, cottage or back room in my life!,I guess im just not that much of a slut!. Different strokes for different folks I guess, next you’ll be telling me you have videos on xtube!!. Thanks for reading my post and commenting, much appreciated.
I am a happily partnered gay man for six years with an amazing guy! I had to learn and make a lot of mistakes to finally reach a place in my life that I was ready for long term commitment. I have been hearing about Grindr from some single friends, so I checked it our for myself. I can understand why it’s a temptation! We live in a time when when delayed gratification is a thing of the past. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? It saddens me greatly that our community is exchanging dating and courtship for “fast food sex”. We are missing out on the experience of real intimacy in our lives. We are turning sex into meaningless hook ups, instead of a chance to really date and get to know someone intimately. I think that’s really sad, gay or straight! We are completely negating the spiritual side of our lives by participating in these addictive behaviors. I’m grateful I’m not single anymore. I hear over and over again from my friends that they can’t seem to meet anyone of substance. These are good looking, smart and talented men that should have no trouble in this area. I thank you for opening up such an important discussion as this. Bravo, for having to courage to get a discussion started about such an important topic as this one! Knowledge has the power to change people…
Thank you Cary firstly for reading and commenting on my post. You are very lucky to have found someone you love and cherish and I admire you both for such a fabulous relationship!.
I don’t feel that I will ever find someone who feels that I am a worthy enough a person for such a commitment which is a shame as I would dearly love to experience this!.
Your opinions are valued and I hope
you will continue to visit and contribute in future posts!
Thank you
Ok I must say that I am in a committed relationship for 7yrs now. Yes Grindr is what it is… Maybe if ur looking for something of substance then u should look somewhere else.. But yet again my partner and I both have made some great friends(nothing sexual) from Grindr as well… I’m not sure what state ur in but here in Tennessee some people are friendly and do carry on conversations. Yet we have ran across several that want to hook up… I do wish u luck and will tell you this my partner and I met from match.com 7yrs ago! U should really try it! There’s lots there! Let me know how that works for you!
